Georgette’s passion for aviation began early in life and culminated in obtaining a Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) in South Africa. As the mother of two children, one of whom has autism, Georgette has a deeply personal connection to the challenges faced by families like hers. Her dedication to improving accessibility is rooted in her journey of advocating for her son - from organizing a golf day to fund his treatment to co-founding Spectrum Navigators. Georgette is driven by a vision of a world where every child, regardless of their needs, can thrive and explore the world.

As a qualified commercial pilot, aviation sustainability planner, and aviation writer, Dassie is an award-winning aviation professional with a multifaceted and international understanding of the aviation industry. She advocates for transcending labels and breaking down barriers in the aviation industry. Her passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals stems from a belief that everyone deserves to experience the joys of travel.
